It's not natively possible to encrypt a database password in MS SQL 2k right? If so, where do I do this, and find the key for connecting.

Not that I know of Simmo smile

What exactly is the situation which requires you to do this?

A third party application that I have installed on a citrix server (inside the network) that hits a sql 2k db (inside the network). I'm not worried about security cos if they are sniffing packets they would have to be on the network to do it. But was asked if I encrypted the password... and to the best of my knowledge you couldn't do it in 2k w/o an add on
