I'm trying to find a bottleneck and can see my sql server in my performance monitor fine by adding counters and selecting \\sqlServerCompName as the computer...
my webserver however is in the DMZ by the pix and not apart of the active directory...
I can connect to it via RDC by ip but it seems that performance monitor does not allow that.

basically my workaround for the time being is monitor my sql box through my local performance monitor and RDC into the webserver and monitor it from its own monitor... but that isnt fun cos I have to have two monitors open and since i'm not actualy doing anything on the webserver it keeps going to screen saver

yeah, that would solve the one issue but my main thing is that they are in different monitor panels, although that does make them easier to tell which is which
