I'm having a slight issue where items that I am supposed to take care of are falling by the wayside mainly because someone verbally tells me and I just plain forget.
I started keeping items in a simple access database and would like to sahre that so certain people can add items to it or even do items themselves and mark as complete.
Here is what I tried:
1) created w folder named todo$ on my c drive
2) shared it, removing 'everybody' and adding the people who should have access (giving them full access)
3) put the access file in there, making sure that share mode is enabled.

4) then I asked someone to open it remotely and it said that it was read only

5) so I shared the file itself (I thought it should have inherited the folders properties  ) and then they could change items... but we only saw changes when we closed and reopened...

anyone have a better way?

We are running exchange, how would I use it in this way? (I have little experiance with it but will be needing to get up to speed eventually  )

I thought about that but it is hard for me to just make a simple thing... I am bad about 'scope creep' and will spend more time than needed (cos theoretically whipping up a file in Office should have taken less than a minute).

I think there is also another tool called Microsoft OneNote which comes with Microsoft Office 2003. You can use that too but as long as you can do it with Shady's idea it should be cool.

Yeah, not looking for something like the tasks or to do list there, need it to be a little more complex. I really like my Access file but was hoping there would be an easy way to share it.
