I had a power outage a couple of days ago and haven't been able to boot up since.  I found out the hard way that my power strip is apparently not a surge protector.  We opened up the case and found the power supply's fuse had blown.  Replaced that with a new one, but it still won't boot up.  Just wondering if anyone knew what else needs to be replaced, or if any of it can even be salvaged at all.

best way to find out what is salvageable is to take everything out and start from the beginning... take everyhting out but motherboard, processor (and fan) and one stick of ram... hit the power button, if nothing happens then I'd say new mobo and proc is needed... if the fans spin up then start adding things (starting up along the way) till its back together... your mobo and proc may still have gotten a shock which will cause it to act funny at times but the blown fuse may have saved the day (which is what it is for).
good luck smile
