Title: Serving multiple pages from webserver on LOCAL network
Post by: simmo on November 10, 2010, 02:41:14 am
It may not matter for what I am doing but the fact that I can't figure it out is bugging me :p

If this were a standard web server, accessible from the outside, I would configure the hosts file and and would both work properly.

But this server will never get traffic from out side (it may for my home automation project at a later date, but for now, and for this topic, no).

So, I set up site1 & site 2 in the IIS. But I think this is where I am messing up... from one of the PCs, I am opening "mweb01/site1/index.asp"... I think that is going though the tree starting at wwwroot rather than site1 being root.

Am I going about this the wrong way? Does it even matter?
